I wrote a poem for the Open Review Quarterly Digital Presence issue, which intended to depict my [and my generation’s] changing relationship with the internet. I wrote, “Deliver me those silhouette faces!” in the penultimate line. When Facebook first began, many chose to keep the silhouette profile. Things have changed. We want to share; we want to meet new people; we want to show the world that we have a professional, creative, and social life.
Amelia Greenhall provided the inspiration for my new photo-tumblr. We need a quick and easy way for people to discover who we are.
So, scroll through the one I made. Get to know me. Remove the means that makes us strangers.
