The housemates and I hit up the Harvest Festival on Sunday. Though delayed because of the storms, we still enjoyed Sigur Ros, Santigold, Grizzly Bear, Ben Folds Five, Cake, and a few of the other acts.
One of my favorite parts of the festival was watching Greek mythology-inspired celebrants parade through the festival. I felt like I was back in Portland.
Amphitheaters and other performance spaces are critical to a city. They promote culture, placemaking, and encourage active use of public space. In Nashville, platforms are almost always built into the public space, designed to welcome buskers and scheduled performers.
