I spent most of my ten days in Tasmania hiking.
My overnight hike at Freycinet National Park was the highlight.
The first day took me along three beaches, all were vacant.
To lighten the load, I only brought the tent fly. Wallabies and possums aren’t shy, so I filled in the gaps.
The next day took me up Mt. Graham and down to Wineglass Bay.
The blue skies stuck around, which made the campsite at the Bay of Fires that much more idyllic.
The West of Tasmania proved less hospitable though.
Cradle Valley was another planet, and the rest of the region felt empty.
Tasmania has everything: mountains, beaches, rivers, lakes.
A great finish to a great year.
