My climbing partner and I did a seven pitch, 200m climb today up Mt. Tibrogargan, a trachyte crag in the Glass House Mountains.
The route we took was called “Blabbermouth.” It goes up the right side of the mountain pictured above. It’s an easy 5.8 (16 by Aussie ratings). Mostly sport climbing with some trad. The final pitch was without protection.
While leading my first trad route, James said, “These holds are so positive you can really sink your meat hooks in them!” This gave me a confidence boost and a laugh.
I love Mondays.
